Hawks Have A Sweep in Sights Over Victoria

Edmonton has a chance to start the season with a 3-0 record

The Edmonton Riverhawks will look for the sweep as they close out their first West Coast League series of 2025.
The Riverhawks and Victoria HarrbourCats will do battle tonight (Thurs June 5) at RE/MAX Field. Opening pitch is 7:05 PM MDT.
Edmonton is unbeaten in two starts after convincing 13-3 and 12-3 victories. The HarbourCats have fallen to 3-2 on the season. In those two games, the Riverhawks outslugged Victoria 28-17. #6 Robert Phelps has led the homeboy’s offense going 3-8 with four runs batted in during those two contests.
The scheduled starter for Edmonton is home grown left-hander #8 Matthew Ridsdale. Ridsdale played this season for the Canadian Collegiate Baseball Conference Edmonton Collegiate Hawks
The teams will wrap up their three-game set on tonight at RE/MAX Field. The game time is 7:05 PM MDT.
The Riverhawks continue their first home stand of the WCL season tomorrow as they play host to the Bellingham Bells. It is “Baseball goes Bollywood” night which will include the contest being broadcast live on MyRadio580 in Punjabi. The Riverhawks became the first West Coast League team to have their game described in that language in 2024. Friday will also be the first “Fireworks with Uncle John’s Fireworks’ following the game.
